When it comes to printing your original artwork, whether it's a
painting, or a photograph,
what's the REAL difference between our "Artists Giclee"
and any other Giclee? HOW DO YOU BENEFIT?
It's Easy as 1 - 2 - 3
(1)The HIGH RESOLUTION SCAN of your ORIGINAL artwork
is THE FOUNDATION of creating
the Artists Giclee. Without a clear high resolution scan at the beginning, the
end result will NEVER
look like an original painting. Any other method of copying your original will only
produce a
Giclee print that looks like a picture of a painting,
because that's what it is.
NEXT . . .
(2)The Scanned Image is now in the "Digital World". To produce the Artists Giclee we will
Digitally CALIBRATE, CHARACTERIZE, and CONVERT the color to
maintain the brilliance
and clarity achieved in the high resolution scan. Think about it like this. You
painted your original
using your own distinctive color palette. Now we have to convert your palette into
colors that
the computer and printer understand. We use aSpectrophotometer(electronic color reader)
and 3-D color mapping software to achieve this.
NEXT . . .
(3)We use this equipment to actually read the colors on your original.
Then we compare
those colors with the colors that the canvas or fine art paper we are printing on
can
reproduce. This gives us the ability to translate "your color palette colors" into
a
"Color Language" that our high resolution Giclee Printing equipment can understand.
Then we print the "Artists Giclee!"
And of course one of the biggest differences between our Artists Giclee
and the other guys is that we have pages and pages of Giclee Prints
that we have printed for satisfied artists, on display in our
gallery. Go ahead, see the difference for yourself.
